Tigers defense shuts out
Lancaster in the first half, come up big in the second.
PICKERINGTON - A fumble recovery by Ryan Williams and an interception by
Zack Boren set up two Pickerington Central Touchdowns that sealed the deal
on win number two against Lancaster. The defense came up big and the
Offense did what they needed to beat the Golden Gales by a score of 21-7,
and to advance to the second round of the Ohio High School Football
Playoffs where they will face Dublin Coffman who beat Gahanna in the
quarterfinals.
The match up
will feature two of the best Teams in Ohio as Pickerington (11-0, AP polls
#6) looks to get past Dublin Coffman (11-0, AP polls #5) in route to their
second straight Regional Title.
Scoring:
Boren 1 yard Touchdown run, 3 yard Touchdown run, 1 interception. Eisen Hardy
89 Touchdown run. Raymond 3 successful
PATs. Tigers defense - Outstanding! Austen Payne had 94 yards rushing. Eisen Hardy had 96 yards rushing.

In the Division I Regional Quarterfinal the Tigers defeated Lancaster 21-7. Scoring for the Tigers was Hardy with an 89 yard TD run. Boren scored a 1 yard TD run and a 3 yard TD run. Raymond scored 3 extra points. Pickerington Central faces Dublin Coffman in the Division I Regional Semifinal at 7pm on November 10th. Go Tigers!

A 4th and 12
conversion late in the 2nd quarter seals the Tigers fate in the State
Finals for the first time in school history!
On 4th and 12 from the
Nordonia 32, Coach Sharrett called a screen play that the Pickerington
Offense executed perfectly. Chazz Anderson connected with Brian
Peters who pounded it down to the Nordonia 1 yard line. On 2nd and
goal, Anderson dove in for the quarterback sneak and 6 points. After
the Brian Peters kick it was 7-3 and that score held throughout the remainder of the
game.
The stronger, quicker
Pickerington Offensive Line grinded away all night long on Nordonia's
defense helping Jordan Jarrell pick up the tough yards and consume the
clock. Jarrell had 118 yards on 32 carries. The
Tigers Defense, led by Seniors Nick England and Kyle Kozak, has not allowed a touchdown in two consecutive playoff
games. From the very beginning they smothered Ohio's Mr. Football prospect Jordan Mabin
every time he touched the ball, holding him to only 56 yards on 17
carries; Mabin's worst outing of the year...
Scoring: The
Tigers Defense has not allowed a touchdown in two consecutive playoff
games. Chazz Anderson scored on a 1 yard Quarterback sneak.

The Tigers were down three points at halftime, but fought to gain the lead in the second half. At the start of the second, the Tigers drove 71 yards for a touchdown making the score 7-3. Jordan Jarrell rushed for 151 yards on 34 carries during the night, as Central earned the DII Regional Football Title. The 12-1 Central Team will now advance to the State Semifinals against Macedonia
Nordonia.

The Tigers 49-7 win over Watkins Memorial is only the 4th time this season
that the Warriors allowed an opponent to score in double digits. Tigers Quarterback Chazz Anderson completed 7 of 11 passes for 163 yards and Jordan Jarrell rushed for 206 yard on 26 carries scoring 6 Touchdowns. The Tigers also accumulated -57 sack yardage on 7 sacks.
They will face Bishop Watterson on November 17, 2006...

Canal Winchester 0
The Pickerington Defense posts its second shut out in a row while
the offense continued to rack up points. The Tigers beat Canal
Winchester 35-0 with a steady ground attack complimented by the occasional
long ball, keeping the Indians on their heels all night long.
The Tigers simply wore down Canal with long sustained drives that
ended up either in the end zone or deep into Indians territory. So
far this year the Tigers have outscored their
opponents 69-0. |

The Central Ohio All Star Game was held on July 29, 2006 at Upper
Arlington at 7pm. Greg Sondag (RB), Kyle Koblinski (OL) and Andy Allmandinger
(LB) represented the Tigers on the OCC Team. OCC scoring: Haywood 1 yard
TD run. Brewer 2 Field Goals. Endicott 45 yard TD pass from Fowler, 24
yard Fumble return. Larger 2 PAT's. CENTRAL scoring: Ferrell 30 yard TD
